Didsbury is a suburban area of Manchester, situated about four and a half miles out of the city centre.

Notable people from Didsbury include Lord Marcus Joseph Sieff, the chairman of Marks & Spencer was born in Didsbury in 1913. Vini Reilly, the lead singer in the Durutti Column, was born in the village in 1953.
