Didsbury
is a suburban area of Manchester, situated about four and a half
miles out of the city centre.
Didsbury
has developed a European-like cafe culture over recent years, with
the opening of many new bars, cafes and delicatessens. There is a
great mix of well-designed bars and wel-established restaurants.
Notable people from Didsbury include Lord Marcus Joseph Sieff, the
chairman of Marks & Spencer was born in Didsbury in 1913. Vini
Reilly, the lead singer in the Durutti Column, was born in the village
in 1953.
