El Kabron
El Kabron pronounced: Kah-Brohn. Meaning: The alpha male goat or GOAT (greatest of all time). El Kabron is brought to life by the team behind the much-loved La Bandera, and this exciting new venture has taken over the former Bowlers Cafe site on Mount Street, just off Albert Square. Inspired by the lively taverns of northern Spain, particularly the Basque Country, El Kabron is described as the “younger rebel brother” to La Bandera, bringing a fresh and bold twist to Spanish dining.


El Kabron Menu
The El Kabron menu focuses on three elements of the Spanish cuisine all perfect for sharing, they capture the essence of Spanish social dining, where good food and conversation go hand-in-hand. Pintxos: Pronounced “pin-chos,” are a beloved staple of Spanish cuisine, originating from the Basque Country. These small, flavorful bites are traditionally served as bar snacks and are designed to be enjoyed with drinks, often before a meal. Pintxos typically consist of ingredients skewered onto a slice of bread with a toothpick, though modern variations have evolved beyond this classic form. Tapas: These small dishes range from simple plates like olives, cheeses, and cured meats to more elaborate creations such as patatas bravas (fried potatoes with a spicy sauce), gambas al ajillo (garlic prawns), or albondigas (Spanish meatballs). Traditionally served as appetisers or snacks, tapas allow diners to explore a wide range of flavours in one sitting. Embutidos: Meats which are traditionally preserved through curing, smoking, or drying processes that enhance their natural taste and texture. Among the most famous are Jamón Ibérico; a finely marbled ham from Iberian pigs, chorizo; a smoky, paprika-spiced sausage, and lomo embuchado; a tender cured pork loin.
