On
a cold, wet and rainy afternoon back in January 2001, we happened
to stumble across a bar called Pimlico in the Northern Quarter.
The bar had been shut for several months and been in a pretty bad
state. It was June 2001 when the doors finally opened to what is
now known as Simple. In the seven years since then another 10 bars
have come into being in the neighbourhood, making the Northern Quarter
the place to be. |
Simple
offers a relaxed environment to meet, sit and drink with friends
and family. The fantastic cocktail menu is made up of a mixture
of classic drinks, contemporary favourites and their very own Simple
creations shaken and stirred to perfection. Add to this the fine
wines menu and impressive range of British, European and world beers
and you have a drinks offering not to be sniffed at.

Simple
is also the only bar in the Northern Quarter offering table service
to all it's customers, inside or on the all-weather terrace, so
the only reason to leave your seat is if you want to. |
On Friday and Saturday night up the tempo with DJs providing everything
from hip-hop, funk, house, indie and breakbeat, each with their
own distinctive style. And on Sundays Simple screen your favourite
80s films whilst you nurse your head with a Bloody Mary, and then
from 7pm onwards it’s life-sized Wii Sports until close. |

Love the 80s - Hold onto your hats for a trip down memory
lane. Every Sunday, Simple will be showing classic 80s films, reminding
you of your youth and times gone by when all you had to worry about
was what you were getting for tea. Why not pop by, read the papers
and enjoy the gorgeous Sunday roasts. |

Play Sundays - From 7pm every Sunday the Wii is life-sized
and free for anyone on the projector screen. Doing it at home will
never seem good enough again! |
