Odd
is the hub of Manchester's Northern Quarter, a popular bohemian
bar that polled more than any other in Manchester to win the
2007-08 Pride Of Manchester Award for Best Bar in Manchester.
And it's not hard to see why...
One
of the things Odd is proud of, is the great atmosphere. Odd
Bar has a personality all of its own. Describing themselves
as a drink, "We would probably be an 'oily moiley'; Spicy,
a little bit cheeky with a lot of character. So if you haven't
visited Odd yet, we can't wait to meet you, and if you have,
we can't wait to see you again!"
Try
Odd's most excellent award winning food menu which reveals
fresh, home-made, delicious food inspired by dishes from around
the globe, all with an Odd twist! (Vegetarians and Vegans
are always catered for too).
The
DJ’s are excellent, from El Diablo’s Risk it for
a Biscuit on a Friday night, to Piccadilly Record’s
DJs on the 1st and 3rd Saturday of every month and Oscar Wildstyle
on the 2nd and 4th! You will be more than entertained each
week and it's unlikely you'll be sitting down all night!
Your
Mama’s Cooking on the first Sunday of every month brings
some old fashioned home comforts to Odd playing music you can
dance to from the 1920's through to the 1950's, with different
live acts every month to get you jumpin', jivin' and lindyhoppin'
as well as free home-made cup cakes.
All
live music, events & DJs are FREE ENTRY! Plus you can give
your suggestions to the lovely Odd staff for the jukebox and
be listening to it as fast as they can get their hands on it.
Odd
also has monthly art exhibitions featuring the best of Manchester’s
up and coming artists and a giant cinema screen downstairs
projecting everything from black and white classics to local
film makers’ work.
All
the bar staff are incredibly friendly and are there to make
you feel at home. You won't be in a rush to leave Odd Bar and
you'll be returning on a regular basis when visiting the Northern
Quarter.
"When
Odd first broke onto the scene, it got people in Manchester
talking and totally revolutionised the Northern Quarter. The
word bohemian is often thrown around loosely to describe many
a bar in the city, however, Odd can truly fit that description.
Even the drinks list takes you to places as wonderful as the
Czech Republic, Bavaria and Switzerland. They don't take themselves
too seriously and its a fun place to drink, catch up with
friends and enjoy the fantastic background music on the brilliant
jukebox or fromone of the live folk and psych bands. If you
are in the Northern Quarter, it'll be odd if you don't visit
this crackin' bar!"
