Manchester Bar News - Tattu Manchester Bar News - Tattu
Tattu Restaurant and Bar will open its doors on Gartside Street, Spinningfields, on 9th May 2015, bringing a refreshing concept to Manchester’s thriving restaurant scene. The venue has been designed to take customers on a visual journey across three separate areas, each drawing decorative influence from different styles of body art.
Inspired by the strong conceptual restaurants found on America’s west coast, brothers Adam and Drew Jones have utilised this design model to build the foundation of their offering, with their inspiration influencing everything from the interior design to the menu itself. A captivating interior, created by designer Edwin Pickett, will provide customers with more than just a meal. Instead, they will follow a story.
Historically, the Orient has had a great influence on the progression of body art and the brothers looked to this part of the world to inspire the restaurant’s stimulating menu. Created by London-based executive chef, Andrew Lassetter, the menu will focus on expertly crafted dim sum and small plates with a contemporary twist.
Both the head chef and head dim sum chef have been sourced from the renowned Hakkasan Group, responsible for many of London’s premium and most celebrated Asian restaurants including Hakkasan, HKK, Yauatcha and Sake No Hana. A tempting array of bespoke cocktails designed to complement the food offering, along with a premium wine list, will offer customers the choice to enjoy the venue as a drinks destination, as well as a restaurant.
Tattu will open for its soft launch on Monday 27th April until the Wednesday 6th May leading up to its official launch on Saturday 9th May. A small selection of customers will be able to experience Tattu during this period with a 50% discount on all food. To register for a chance to be one of the first to dine head to www.tattu.co.uk for details.

General Manager, Hana Kaczor-Dawson comments “We know it’s been a long time coming but PLY promises to be a special space. Materials and features have been sourced from all over the world including our disco ball pizza oven, which involved shipping a team over from Naples to build.
