sophisticated Michael Caines Champagne and Cocktail Bar at the Abode
Hotel, located on the lower level adjacent to the Michael Caines Restaurant,

There's an extensive choice of Champagnes by the glass, bottle,
magnum or larger bottle size, from the excellent house MC Champagne
through the best-known prestigious grandes marques as well as the
rarest and most famous vintage and deluxe cuvée Champagnes. |

are fully executed variations from the Michael Caines Restaurant
à la carte menu, but created in smaller sizes either to enjoy
as a light bite with your drinks, perhaps seated at the bar, or
to order and share with friends around a table. |

Brian Aris will be showcasing a selection of his photography in the
Michael Caines Restaurant and Champagne Bar. Brian is one of the world’s
finest photographers with a portfolio covering pop stars, celebrity
weddings, rock tours and concerts including The Princes Trust and
Nelson Mandela. Brian’s work is currently exhibited at the National
Portrait Gallery in London. |

keeping with Michael Caines philosophy of inclusive dining, prices
are attractive with bottles of champagne starting at just £34.95,
cocktails at £7.50, shorts at £2.30 and botles of wine
from only £18.25. |

has a track record of champagne bars that have tried and failed. Most
have an approach that a city crammed full of so many Premiership footballers,
television stars and rock gods must equal a money making opportunity.
They pump millions into plush VIP clubs and exclusive members only
establishments, have an equally expensive launch night and then close
down just as quickly, haemoriging losses. Michael Caines Champagne
Bar though is different. |

a start, being part of the marvellous Abode hotel and attached to
the Michael Caines Restaurant, it's only one ingredient of a winning
concept and, possibly just as importantly, it's owner believes in
inclusivity rather than exclusivity and the prices reflect this." |
Being
massive champagne lovers (can't get enough of the bubbly stuff),
we opted for the Michael Caines branded house champagne, superb
value at £34.95 and surprsingly great quality, as was the
cocktails - the Midori and Amaretto Sours (£7.50) were well
worth returning for. And we will be, again and again!" -
